The Chrysanthos Volcano Glaze are a mid fire range of products that creates a

surface texture reminiscent of dry lava.

• Layer it up – three to four coats to unlock the best effect!
• Don’t skimp on the drying time between coats.
• No pesky color bleed, so let those colors touch.
• Does not mix well with other colors in the range (they’re shy) but layer away.
• Just for the eyes people – not food safe.
• Middle fire bisque or give it a miss!

APPLICATION

Volcano Glazes need to be applied quite thick using 3 - 4 coats to create the lava

appearance. The glaze is stiff so the application can be to the bottom of pieces

and glazes can successfully applied abutting each other. Glazes will retain their

integrity where they meet.

PHYSICAL DATA

The Volcano Glazes are designed to fire at middle fire temperatures between

cone 4 (1,186oC) and cone 8 (1,263oC).
